I constantly run into problems with new medium. Textured paper and I didn't get along at first and sometimes still have problems together, but I have learned how to fix those little problems with other things.
I found that you have to lay down charcoal first and use pencil over top cause other wise they don't want to mix
White chalk pastel makes everything lighter even if you don't mean to.
White colored pencils don't mix with regular pencils or charcoal.
ect ect ect.
Everyone draws so diffferently and has their own tips and tricks its hard to learn them all. What works for me might not work for everyone and vise versa. I tend to buy lots of art supplies and then rarely use it, and later find some use for it. for example...I have TONS of paint brushes because I really wanted to get into painting...but I failed at that, so I use them when drawing sometimes...like I have water soluble graphite pencils, I tend to draw with them and go over with minimal amounts of water to darken some of my drawings, or I even use round paint brushes dry to fade out some of my drawings.
All these little tips you pick up along the way sometimes cloud your head tho

yeah the same thing happens with pencil and ink btw.
They don't? I thought white colored pencils were meant to make lighter colors through blending?
Yeah well I don't have many tricks of the trade save for blending with ink XD. I feel your pain with the paint though, I just can't get into it because of the lack of control. If I could really focus then I'm sure I could get good enough that I fix the rest with with ink but I'm lazy when it comes to real work XP. It's great that you've found other uses for the brushes though. Honestly I've never heard of water soluble graphite before but it sounds like a transition medium... I wouldn't mind all the useful tips though, you should make a little book of those expert tips, sounds profitable if for nothing else than to remind you later on...
Yeah the colored pencils I have tried have some sort of wax to them and don't mix with my graphite, they mix with the other colored pencils though. Sadly I don't do colored drawings >.<
I've always had an admiration for people that draw with ink because it seems so hard...I tried it once in high school, never got the feel for it.
Maybe I will make a little book or something on here of tips...everyone has been asking about me doing a tutorial lately (I'm lazy though) so maybe I will do that...who knows?!

I have to admit, I always wondered what exactly was being used to make coloring pencils. Coloring pencils usually don't do well with ink either so I use fine tip markers instead.
Really, I would think you had tried and succeeded with that medium already, thank you for the complement however. I agree that it's tough to draw with ink, if for nothing more than the fact that if the pen blots or some other event you don't have control of occurs, then you really can't undo it.
If you ever really feel like it then I'd certainly love to see a tutorial to your style, even if just to see how your work progresses.
It looks like a photograph!

Why can't I have you, it's too late for me,because I lost the control and that's my fate."
