BOYKINS2008~the year of my jrock addiction~[link] but beware as the following gallery may cause enjoyment and complete obsession of japanese rock.

I wasn't familiar with the group or the lead singer, so I used Google and YouTube. It looks as if you captured Ruki in character. You have such artistic ability and all the more so, I think, when one considers the texture of your paper of choice. This (like so much of your work) looks like an artsy, museum-worthy photograph.

my gosh, how are you able to put so much detail into the hair..?

still amazing, jaw dropping, and continuing to stretch the already fine line between photography and drawing.

scary deatailed.

There is nothing left, yet, all I can do is stop and stare, when my life once had care.

every time I open my eyes I see the faces of those who I have failed, and the very thought, makes me wish, wish that I was someone anyone else.

Its a quite large drawing for one, two white charcoal is my best friend, and I've started to use a tool (its meant for clay) to scrape off a layer of the pencil if used right its quite affective. Then you add in the textured paper, that helps a lot, it gives the illusion of more detail in something like hair, or clothing, when in reality there isn't much :P

30+ hours spent on this...I hope it resembles a photograph, but there are quite a few mess ups in the hands, and you can tell where I got lazy in the jacket on the right side :P
sometimes scanners can help hide the bad too :P
but thank you!
