Oh holy cow! She didn't used textured paper lol. Isn't it weird?! I felt like trying to draw on something different so I used illustration board with charcoal and pastels. I've worked with both in the past on a numerous amount of my drawings, but never used either so much on a single drawing. I'm quite proud how it turned out, considering all I used for reference was a picture I pulled up on my cell phone and the movie (Sleepy Hollow, of course). You know what I realized though, those pretty blended backgrounds that kinda look like fog/clouds are harder to do than I thought!!!! I tried but I didn't do so swell.
I love doing his hair. something about that messy longer hair look on a guy is just...amazing, and really fun to draw...I guess cause you can make more mistakes and no one notices
I've been on this Sleepy Hollow kick, I guess I just get excited for halloween earlier every year...and this year all I will be able to do for it really is draw stuff since I can't put out my decor (I'm moving in October-Nov). And this is my favorite way to celebrate my favorite holiday. I watch it pretty much every year at midnight on halloween...I'm weird, I got my traditions.
